The event, organized by the <strong>Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue<\/strong>, took place within the framework of the <strong>Jubilee Year of Hope<\/strong>, under the theme \u201c<em>Pilgrims of Hope<\/em>\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representing the <strong>World Union of Catholic Women\u2019s Organisations (WUCWO)<\/strong>, <strong>some members of the Secretariat<\/strong> attended, including Mar\u00eda Lamas, Virginia Pastor, and Merc\u00e8 Alonso. The commemoration was a true testimony of universal fraternity: various religious traditions shared dances, music, and artistic expressions that beautifully symbolized the common longing for peace, respect, and unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the event, a video prepared by the <strong>Dicastery for Communication<\/strong> was shown, retracing the path the Church has taken\u2014especially through its Pontiffs\u2014in the field of interreligious dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\ud83c\udfa5 Watch it here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aeLaZRJrrW8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aeLaZRJrrW8<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the gathering, the <strong>Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV<\/strong>, joined the celebration and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiv\/en\/speeches\/2025\/october\/documents\/20251028-nostra-aetate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">delivered a profound message on the value of dialogue, hope, and prayer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is the journey that Nostra Aetate invites us to continue \u2014 to walk together in hope. Then, when we do so, something beautiful happens: hearts open, bridges are built and new paths appear where none seemed possible. This is not the work of one religion, one nation, or even one generation. It is a sacred task for all humanity \u2014 to keep hope alive, to keep dialogue alive and to keep love alive in the heart of the world\u201d.  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pope also recalled the importance of prayer as a source of personal and social transformation:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPrayer has the power to transform our hearts, our words, our actions and our world. It renews us from within, rekindling in us the spirit of hope and love\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sixty years after its promulgation, <em>Nostra Aetate<\/em> remains a fundamental text not only for interreligious dialogue but also for peaceful coexistence among peoples. In a world marked by new religious and social complexities, its call to mutual understanding and fraternity continues to be profoundly relevant and inspiring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WUCWO reaffirms its commitment to this spirit of encounter and to the promotion of religious freedom, one of its priority resolutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe walk this journey not by abandoning our own faith, but by standing firmly within it.
