President’s message for Venezuela

In these delicate times that Venezuela is experiencing, the women of WUCWO around the world unite wholeheartedly and with our trusting prayers to the Lord, so that the current crisis may soon be overcome and the long‑desired peace, justice, and democracy may be achieved in that great country.

We recall here the words of encouragement from Pope Leo XIV in his Peace Message of January 1st:
“Whether we have the gift of faith or feel that we do not, dear brothers and sisters, let us open ourselves to peace! Let us welcome it and recognise it, instead of considering it distant and impossible. Before being a goal, peace is a presence and a path. Even if it is challenged within and around us, like a small flame threatened by the storm, let us care for it without forgetting the names and stories of those who have borne witness to it… May this be a fruit of the Jubilee of Hope, which has led millions of human beings to rediscover themselves as pilgrims and to begin within themselves that disarmament of the heart, mind, and life to which God will not delay in responding by fulfilling His promises.”

We invite all organisations to accompany the people of Venezuela with their prayers.
