Migrants and Refugees
Each migrant carries along a sacred story
We respond to Pope Francis’ call to “build the future with migrants and refugees,” committing ourselves to a Church that welcomes, protects, promotes and integrates. We believe that reaching out is a concrete evangelical response to human suffering.
We work in a network with other institutions so that migrants, especially women, are welcomed, protected and accompanied in their processes.
We promote volunteerism, denounce the injustices, dangers and violations they face and raise our voices before the institutions to demand laws that guarantee real and effective protection.
One example is the project promoted together with the Observatory: “Access to justice for migrant women in Mexico”, which analyzes the violation of their rights with the aim of influencing public policies and helping to fill existing gaps.
