World Women’s Observatory
Listening to women to transform lives
The World Women’s Observatory (WWO) was created in 2021 by WUCWO to: give visibility to women—especially the most vulnerable—whose realities often remain hidden, both in their suffering and in their potential, in order to inspire and generate:
Pastoral strategies on the part of the Church
Synergies among civil society NGOs
Public policies by States and
Contributions to the international agenda that that favor integral human development of women and that of their families, communities, and peoples.
In its first years, the Observatory has published nine reports, organised four workshops for training, empowerment and the exchange of good practices, and formed an international network of experts—both religious and lay—on issues such as violence, discrimination and migration.
Through this work, the Observatory becomes a concrete tool to give a voice to the voiceless, inspire change, and take action where it is most needed.
