WUCWO women thank the Lord for the life, witness, and great legacy of Pope Francis, who dedicated himself to others until the very end.

He led us towards an outgoing synodal Church. He promoted a "pastoral ministry with open doors" to bring everyone, without exception, closer to God's mercy. ​He gave and asked us to prioritise the poor and marginalised, working tirelessly for peace, fraternity, and care for our common home. He advocated, through word and example, for respect of the dignity of women and their full participation in the Church and society. Always consistent and open to change, he reformed and brought a new breath of hope within and beyond the Church.

We will miss you, Pope Francis. You have now departed to the Father's dwelling house, but your teachings and witness remain with us in fertile ground. Rest in peace, and we will not forget to pray for you!
