Mónica Santamarina, General President of the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations (WUCWO), has been interviewed by Vatican Radio to explain the new initiative of WUCWO's School for Synodality, "Conversations in the Spirit", an event that looks to apply the synodal methodology and deepen women's participation in a synodal Church in mission.
In preparation for the second session of the Assembly of the Synod on Synodality, to be held in Rome in October of this year, WUCWO, with its
World Women's Observatory (WWO) and in collaboration with the
Ignatian Encounter Ministry, will organise these conversations via Zoom on April 23, with an expected participation of 1400 people.
Santamarina points out that a synthesis of these meetings will be sent to the General Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops and will be publicly disclosed, thus contributing to giving voice to Catholic women and their participation and mission in the life of the Church,
